How do I exclude units from my stock valuation?

Summary

The following article explains how to exclude units from a unit stock valuation report.

This option should only be used if the cost of the item is not in your nominal unit stock value. If the unit can be found in your nominal stock account you will be unable to reconcile the report tp your balance sheet.

Units: Unit is a general term used to cover all types of vehicle and machinery, including items such as motorcycles, scooters, cars, trucks, vans, caravans, motorhomes, boats, tractors, ATVs, agricultural equipment, wholegoods and construction equipment.

Go to " Unit Sales Add or Edit Units".

  • Search for the unit you wish to exclude from your stock valuation.
  • Click [Edit] to go into the unit record.
  • Click the [Purchase] tab.
  • Set"Value excluded?" to 'Yes' to exclude this record from unit stock valuations.
