How do I restrict the dates with which a user can log in?

Summary

There are three options available for restricting the dates with which a user can log in when starting Platinum. This article explains how to set them.

Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Add or Edit Users".

  • Enter the name of the user you want and select [Search].
  • Select [Edit].
  • The "Login Date Check" is used to control the dates with which the user can log in. It has three options:
No
This user should be allowed to log in to Platinum with any date to the extent defined by the " Accountancy Period Validation" settings for a "Security Level" of '9'.
Yes
This user should be prevented from logging in to Platinum with dates beyond the extent defined by the " Accountancy Period Validation" settings for a "Security Level" of '0'.
System
This user will be allowed to log in to Platinum only with the current system date. They will not be allowed to change the date on the Login screen.
  • Now Select [Done] and [Accept] to save changes.
  • Press <Close> to exit.
