How do I set default service and MOT intervals?

The following article explains how to set the default Unit Service and MOT intervals for unit.

More Information

Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings" and search for 'service'.

• Make sure that the "Auto set service defaults" to 'Yes'.

Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings" and search for 'mot'.

• Make sure that the "Auto set MOT due date" to 'Yes'.

By default this is turned on in the system for your convenience.

Servicing Defaults

You can set the system to deal with:

• distance based service intervals worked out on an expected annual distance.

The default for this is 6000 units of the system default measurement of distance (set to Miles) and an Expected Annual Distance of 6000. These can both be edited if required.

• time based service intervals (in months).

The default for this is 12 Months.

MOT Defaults

• The first MOT for a unit is set to default to 36 months (3 Years) from date of first registration. Set this appropriately for your local market.
