NO01 - Journal (Accounts Data Import variable)

Syntax

NO01{G/S}

Description

The journal that the nominal transaction belongs to.

This variable allows you to group imported nominal transactions together into journals. Each unique number imported here is treated as a separate journal. All transactions with that number are imported into that journal which will have its own unique nominal ledger number.

Parameters

G/S

A text parameter that can be omitted (it defaults to "G").

G

Transactions imported with the same number are grouped together and given the same eventual (but not necessarily the specified) nominal ledger number once imported.

S

Use the number imported here as the specified nominal ledger number. The number must be currently unused and less than the ledger number set to be assigned to the next journal within Platinum.

Value

A numeric value whose typical size is 8 digits.
