What should I do if I get a Runtime Error Message in Platinum?

Summary

There may be instances due to situations beyond your control (e.g. your server gets turned off by mistake when hoovering the office) that you may experience an error in Platinum. This article explains how these errors appear and what to do should you get one.

More Information

The errors that appear in Platinum are called "Runtime errors". The system will display an error box on screen with some details on it. Below is an example of the sort of details you would see on a Platinum Runtime error:

Runtime Error

Error: 54: File Error 30/12 on SXLD099.EDI (Attended Time File)
           File not found

Program: SXPGR90           Release: 1.04

Line: 1245

OK

Should this happen you will need to Contact your Platinum dealer or our support team on 0116 230 1500 or by using our website support contact page and give them the following information:

  • Error
  • Program
  • Release
  • Line
  • Where you were in the system at the time of the error
  • What you were doing at the time of the error
It is important that ALL information is passed onto the software support person to whom you are speaking. This will allow them to investigate and rectify the issues as quickly as possible.
