Why are there no figures on my Profit/Loss?

Summary

If you find that figures are missing from your Profit & Loss print, it will almost certainly be because the information from the Sales and Purchase Ledgers has not been updated to the Nominal Ledger.

More Information

The updating of the Nominal Ledger with the Sales and Purchase Ledger data is generally left under your control (unless CONFIGURED), and is not done automatically by the system. This allows you to edit transactions in the Sales and Purchase Ledgers if any one of the centre code, date, comment, site or analysis code is wrong. It does mean that your Nominal Ledger information is not up to date at all times, but there is no good reason why you cannot update the information into the Nominal Ledger as and when you see fit. Just remember that, once you have updated, the Sales and Purchase Ledger transactions are no longer editable, and any corrections will have to be done by journal in the Nominal Ledger.

If you still have missing figures on the Profit & Loss after updating the Nominal Ledger, then check that your financial period is correct. If it is set to a month prior to the one that you are running, nothing for the current month will be updated. Move the period to the current month and run the update again.
