== Description ==
When postings with a Nett and V.A.T. component are posted, under each Nominal Ledger number the Nett and V.A.T. halves of the posting will bear the same V.A.T. transaction pair number.

The system uses this number internally to retrieve information about the "other" side of the posting, such as for Report Generator variables [[X02 - Centre (Accounts Report Generator variable)|X02]], [[X03 - Centre Description (Accounts Report Generator variable)|X03]] and [[X08 - Transaction Amount (Accounts Report Generator variable)|X08]]. You may use it as part of the sort order to group these double sided postings together.
