Summary

The following article explains where all the mandatory fields for a V55 should be entered in Platinum.

More Information

All these fields are stored in " Systems Unit Sales Add & Edit Vehicles" unless stated otherwise.

Mandatory Fields

The following fields MUST be completed for the V55 Form to be valid.

SORT CODE

(Box S (Letter) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Body Type" field and press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [Parameters] Tab and enter the "Sort Code".

TYPE OF FUEL

(Box 29 (LEFT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [Details] Tab.
Into "Fuel Type" field and press <Shift+F10>.
Enter the code for Fuel type or <C+F1> to search.
Click on[Details] Tab and add a description in the "Description" field of one does not appear.

FUEL CATEGORY

(Box 29 (RIGHT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [Details] Tab.
From a filled in "Fuel Type" field press <Shift+F10>.
Click on[Parameters] Tab and enter the required category in the "DVLA Code" field.

MAKE, MANUFACTURER, DVLA MAKE

MCRIS Make Code

(Box 6 (LEFT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Go Into "Manufacturer" field and from a filled in Manufacturer Press <Shift+F10> or or <C+F1> to search.
Click on the [Parameters] Tab. Look in the "V55 General" Section and Enter the Make code in the "MCRIS Make" Field.

Manufacturer Description

(Box 6 (MIDDLE) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Manufacturer" field, From a filled in Manufacturer Press <Shift+F10> or <C+F1> to search., then enter a Description.

DVLA Make Code

(Box 6 (RIGHT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [Details] Tab .
From a filled in "Fuel Type" field press <Shift+F10>.
Click on[Parameters] Tab and enter the required category in the "DVLA Code" field.

VIN\CHASSIS\FRAME No

(Box 30 on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Enter VIN\CHASSIS\FRAME No in the "V.I.N." Field.

MODEL

MCRIS MODEL Code

(Box 7 (LEFT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 General] Tab and enter the "MCRIS Code".

Model Description

(Box 7 (MIDDLE) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and press <Shift+F10>

Click on the [Detais] Tab and enter the "Description"

DVLA MODEL Code

(Box 7 (RIGHT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and Go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and Press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 General] Tab and enter the "DVLA Code".

ENGINE NUMBER

(Box 31 on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Enter VIN\CHASSIS\FRAME No in the "Engine No" Field.

TYPE OF BODY\VEHICLE

Select the Required Vehicle and Go to the [General] Tab.
Enter Body type No in the "Body Type" Field or Press <C+F1> to search.

TYPE OF BODY/VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

(Box 8 (RIGHT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Enter Body type No in the "Body Type" Field or Press <C+F1> to search.
Press <S+F10> from an entered "Body Type".
Click the [Details] Tab and enter the relevant Name in the "Description" field.

CYLINDER CAPACITY

(Box 32 on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab and enter Cylinder Capacity in the "Capacity" Field.

WHEELPLAN

(Box 9 (LEFT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

WHEELPLAN CODE

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 General] Tab and enter the "Wheelplan" relevant to the model.

WHEELPLAN DESCRIPTION

(Box 9 (RIGHT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

AUTOMATICALLY FILLED IN BY SELECTING CORRECT "WHEELPLAN".

WHEELBASE (mm)

(Box 33 (RIGHT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and Press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [Dimensions] Tab and enter the "Wheelbase" measurement in MM for the model.

COLOUR(S)

COLOUR NAME

(Box 10 (LEFT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Enter Colours in the "Colour" Field.

COLOUR CODE

(Box 10 (RIGHT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

AUTOMATICALLY FILLED IN BY ENTERING CORRECT "COLOUR".

CO2 g/km

(Box 34 (LEFT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and Press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 Measurements] Tab and enter the correct "CO2" measurement for the model

TYPE APPROVAL NUMBER\CATEGORY

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and Press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 General] Tab and enter the correct "Type Approval No" for the model.

TYPE APPROVAL CATEGORY

Select the Required Vehicle and g to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and s <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 General] Tab and enter the correct "Category"" for the model.

MASS IN SERVICE (KG)

(Box 35 (LEFT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Go to "Model" field and press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 Measurements] Tab and enter the "Mass in Service" relevant to the model

TYPE

(Box 12 on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 General] Tab and enter the "Type" relevant to the model.

VARIANT

(Box 13 on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 General] Tab and enter the "Variant" relevant to the model.

VERSION

(Box 14 on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Go into "Model" field Press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 General] Tab and enter the "Version" relevant to the model.

NUMBER OF SEATS

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 General] Tab and Enter the "Seats" relevant to the model.

MAX NET POWER (KW)

(Box 19 (RIGHT) on V55/1 08/09 form)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab
Into "Model" field and Press <Shift+F10>
Click on the [V55 Measurements] Tab and enter the "Max Net Power" relevant to the model

POWER/WEIGHT RATIO (KW/KG)

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [General] Tab.
Into "Model" field and press <Shift+F10>.
Click on the [V55 Measurements] Tab and enter the "Power/weight" relevant to the model.

Dealer Information

ORIGINAL DEALER CODE

" Systems Unit Sales Maintenance Options Parameters Distributor Parameters".
Enter the "Original Dealer Code" Field.

ORIGINAL DEALER NAME AND ADDRESS

Automatically entered from Company Name and Address.

SELLING DEALER CODE

Select the Required Vehicle and go to the [Sale] .
Make sure a 'Customer' Is Filled in with the correct details.
