Summary

The following article explains how to set up Stock Price Codes. These can be used to specify price lists for a customer to use, such as Trade, where items are at a different retail price to the standard.

Creating a New Price Code

Go to " Stock Control Maintenance Options Price, Group & Depot Codes Add or Edit Price Ranges".

  • Click [Add] to add a new Price Code.
  • Enter a three character code and a suitable description e.g. 'TRA' and 'Trade Price List'.
  • Click [Done] and [Accept] to save the Price Code.

Applying the Price Code to a Specific Item

Go to " Stock Control Add or Edit Stock Items".

  • Find the stock code you want to add to the Price List.
  • Click [Edit].
  • Click on the [Prices] tab.
  • Click [Add].
  • Enter the new Price Code e.g. 'TRA'.
  • Press <Enter> to move to the "V.A.T. exc. price" column.
  • Enter the nett price.
  • Alternatively move to the "V.A.T. inc. price" and enter the price including V.A.T.
  • Click [Done] and [Accept].

Applying the Price Code to Customers

Go to " Sales Ledger Customer File Maintenance Add or Edit Customers".

  • Find the customer name and click [Search].
  • Click [Edit].
  • Click the [Stock] tab.
  • Enter the new Price Code in the "Price Code" field.
  • Click [Done] and [Accept].
When selling stock to a customer they will be charged the price stored for this price code. Items without this code assigned will be charged at the standard selling price.
