The following article explains how to find an existing prospect if you have the Sales Prospecting module.

More Information

  • Go to " Sales Prospecting Add or Edit Prospects".
  • In the "Search on" field, type part of the name for which you wish to search
'Bloggs' for Mr Joe Bloggs).
  • You will then be shown a list of customers with Bloggs in the name.

Searching for a Prospect from Customer Search

When you search for an existing customer, you can search for a prospect and convert this prospect into an account.

  • Press <Ctrl+F1> to bring up the Account Search window.
  • Press <Alt+F10> to bring up the Prospect Search window.
  • In the "Search on" field, type part of the name of the prospect for whom you are searching
'Bloggs' for Mr Joe Bloggs).
  • From the 'Search results' list, select the prospect you wish to convert to an account, then click [Choose] or press <F2>.
    • If the prospect does not already have an account assigned you will be prompted with "Confirm create customer from prospect?", click [Yes].
    • If the prospect already has an account assigned the prospect's customer account will be selected.
  • You will then be returned to the account field where you first started your search.
