Summary

This article explains how to create Interest Categories in Sales Prospecting to assign Interests to.

More Information

  • Go to " Sales Prospecting Maintenance Options Add or Edit Interest Categories".
  • Search for an existing interest you want to assign to a category and click [Edit] or create a new one.
  • Click on the "Settings" tab.
  • Click onto the "Category" field and press <Ctrl+F1>
  • Click the [Add] Button.
  • In the "Interest Category" field enter a unique code, which can be upto three characters, press <Enter>
  • In the "Description" field enter a suitable description for the category.
    • On the "Settings" tab it is possible to set the attribute to be mandatory by setting the "Mandatory?" drop down to 'Yes'. This means that when a new Prospect is created or an existing Prospect is edited the system will check that at least one interest from this category has been assigned, if not the user will be prompted to allocate one before exiting from the Prospect.
  • Click [Done] and [Accept] to return to the Interest you were editing, then click [Done] and [Accept] to return to "Add or Edit Interests" search screen.
