Whenever you do a workshop job on a unit, you should enter the mileage at the time that the job is done. This allows the system to calculate the usage of the unit to get the best estimate of the next Service Due date, and can be shown on the Service History reports as well. The mileage should be entered before the job is invoiced so that it will be shown on the customer invoice.

Summary

This article explains how to update the mileage on a unit from a job card in Workshop.

More Information

Units: Unit is a general term used to cover all types of vehicle and machinery, including items such as motorcycles, scooters, cars, trucks, vans, caravans, motorhomes, boats, tractors, ATVs, agricultural equipment, wholegoods and construction equipment.

How to Update the Mileage

  • Go to " Workshop Workshop Diary".
  • Press <Ctrl+F1> to search for the job. Fill in the search criteria to get to the relevant job and click on [Search]. This will list the jobs that are in the search criteria. Click on the job that you want.
  • Click [Edit]. This will take you to the Workshop Job Properties.
  • Enter the current mileage in the "Mileage:" field.
  • Click [Done] and [Accept].
