Summary

The following article explains how you can stop your Platinum Icons from losing their image.

More Information

When using Platinum on a PC running Windows 7 and if you have Power Management turned on, your network drive can sometimes be "put to sleep" by its power management options due to inactivity across your network. As Platinum is a program that runs across your network, this can result in the loss of the image on your Platinum desktop icon.

To turn Power Management off:

  • Click [Start].
  • In the "Search" box, type 'Device Manager' and press <Enter>.
  • Locate the "Network Adapters" section and <Right-Click> your network card and select " Properties" from the drop down menu.
  • Select the [Power Management] tab.
  • Ensure that the "Allow computer to turn off this device" is not ticked.
  • Click [OK] and close the open windows.
