Summary

This article explains how to "Nudge" a job to the next day in the diary.

More Information

In a busy workshop there are times when you may need to shuffle jobs in your diary to the next day, for example if you are too busy on a particular day or a customer wants to postpone their appointment by a day.

In Platinum this can be done at the click of a button, and here's how:

Go to " Workshop Workshop Diary".

  • Find the job that needs to be moved to the next day and left click to put a tick in the [Nudging?] box and then click the [Nudge >] button.
This can be pressed multiple times to move the job forward several days and the [Nudge <] button can be used to move the job back a day in case you go too far.
  • Once nudged, remove the tick from the [Nudging?] box to save someone from accidentally nudging a job by mistake.
Nudging is designed for jobs where the start of the job needs to be moved. If the job is going to take longer than expected, you should use the Schedule button to add extra time here, rather than nudging the job.
