Summary

This article provides the information to configure your USB barcode scanner so that Platinum sees the output from the scanner as a barcode and not keyboard input.

More Information

By default, the Barcode scanners we supply have treated scanned barcodes as though they were keyboard input so that if the barcode does not link to a stock code it simply enters the unallocated barcode number on the screen.

The scanner can be configured so that if the barcode is not recognised, the system will ask you to link it to a Platinum stock code.

Click here to download a PDF Document of the configuration barcodes that will enable the above feature on your barcode scanner.
