Go to the location in Platinum where you would like to send the standard messages. E.g. if sending a message to a customer that his bike is ready, you would need to go into the workshop job.

Selecting SMS Sending Facility

  • Click on Messages on the menu bar at the top of the screen.
  • Click on SMS Messaging on the drop down menu.

You can now enter a message then click [Send] to send the message to the customer's mobile number.

Creating a Macro Message

If you often send the same message you can save typing it every time by recording a "macro".

  • Click on Macro on the menu bar at the top of the screen.
  • Click on Macro Manager on the drop down menu.
  • Press <F6> to create a new Macro.
  • At the "Sort code" enter a 3 character code to label the macro then press <Enter>.
  • At the "Name" enter a name for the message and press <Enter>.
  • At the "Description" enter a brief description of what the message will say.
  • At the "Hot Key Number" enter a number from '0-9'.
  • Press <F2> to start recording the macro.
A prompt will appear asking "Do you want to start recording?" press [Yes].
  • Press <Enter> to go to "From:".
  • Press <Enter> to go to "Notes:".
  • Type your message in the lines provided.
The message length is only 160 characters long. Anything over that amount will be added to a second message.
  • Once finished press <Alt+M> to stop the Macro.
  • A prompt will appear stating "The Macro recording has been stopped and saved.", press the [OK] button.

Example
