E31 - Gross Pay (Payroll Report Generator variable)

Syntax

E31{T/N/P/E/G, C/Y/P, A-Z/1-26, 1-5}

Description

The gross pay. This variable will allow you to get the NI'able gross pay, Tax'able gross pay, Pensionable Gross Pay, Banded Pensionable Gross Pay or Total Gross Pay.

Parameters

T/N/P/E/G

A text parameter that can be omitted (it defaults to "T").

T

Tax'able Gross.

N

NI'able Gross (Also NI Earnings).

P

Pensionable Gross.

E

Employee Banded Gross = Pensionable Gross after banding has been applied.

G

Total Gross Pay = Gross Pay before Employee Pension contributions are deducted.

C/Y/P

A text parameter that can be omitted (it defaults to "C").

C

Current (The value for this period).

Y

Year (The value from the payroll year including this period).

P

Previous Employment Values (The value from the payroll year start up to this period entered as previous employment adjustments)

A-Z/1-26

A text or numeric parameter that can be omitted (it defaults to "A").

A-Z

The value at the given band.

1-26

The value at the given in-use band. Eg. 2 would be the second NI band in use.

A text parameter that can be omitted (it defaults to "1").

NI Earnings at the LEL (where earnings reach or exceed the LEL).

NI Earnings above the LEL, up to and including the Secondary (Employer's) Threshold.

NI Earnings above the Secondary (Employer's) Threshold, up to and including the UEL.

NI Earnings above the LEL, up to and including the Primary (Employee's) Threshold.

NI Earnings above the Primary (Employee's) Threshold, up to and including the UEL.

Returns

A numeric value whose typical size is 6 digits plus 2 decimal places.
