More Information

As the versions of Windows has changed over the ages the method of adding a shortcut/icon to the Taskbar has also changed. Below will be instructions on how to add a shortcut/icon for Platinum to your Windows Taskbar.

Windows XP

In order to add a Platinum shortcut/icon to the Taskbar you will need to first right click on the Windows Taskbar (at the bottom of the screen) and make sure that "Lock the Taskbar" is not enabled (without the Template:Tick).

  • Click and hold the left mouse button on the Platinum shortcut/icon.
  • Still holding the left button down scroll the point down towards the left hand side of the Taskbar. (Next to the [Start] button.)
    • This will drag a ghost(faded) image of the shortcut/icon to the Taskbar.
  • A "I" will appear. Move this to where you want the icon to be.
  • Release the left mouse button and the Platinum shortcut/icon will appear on the Taskbar.
  • To lock the Taskbar, simply right mouse click in the centre again and select "Lock the Taskbar" which will place the Template:Tick back.
