This article explains how to search for a Nominal Centre, sometimes referred to as a Nominal Code.

More Information

Nominal Centres are used in various places throughout Platinum.

In the following example, searching for a Cost Centre is going to be performed in Journal Entries - Cashbook Entry.

  • In the "Centre" field, press <Ctrl+F1> or type in part of the description of the code.
  • At the Nominal Centre Search dialogue box, in the "Filter On" field, type a description of the centre you are looking for; e.g. "Bank" or "Wages" and click [Search].
  • Select the relevant centre and click [Choose].
