How do I Set up Platinum for Online HMRC V.A.T. Submission?

The following article explains how to enter your Government Gateway details into your Platinum system to allow you to submit your V.A.T. Return (VAT100) online direct to HMRC.

Entering your Government Gateway Details

Go into " Systems\Accounts Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator System Parameters".

• Press <Page-Down> to get to Page 2.
• In the "Government Gateway User ID.", enter the Government Gateway User ID from your HMRC Paperwork or Card.
• In the "Government Gateway Password", enter the Government Gateway Password from your HMRC Paperwork or Card.

Entering your V.A.T. Reg Number

Go into " Systems\Accounts Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator V.A.T. Parameters".

• In the "V.A.T. Registration No.", enter the V.A.T. Reg number WITHOUT a GB Prefix or any spaces.
• Press <Esc> to exit from here.
