Summary
This article explains how to set up a Shadow File Price Escalation.
Shadow File Price Escalations may be useful in lots of situations, for instance if a Shadow File only has a Cost Price and no Retail Price the Escalation can Automatically set the Retail Price for you.
More Information
To set a Shadow File Price Escalation you need to go to " Stock Control Maintenance Options Shadow File Maintenance Price Escalations Maintenance"
- At "Shadow Supplier:" enter the two digit Shadow File code that you want to set the Price Escalation for and then press <Enter>.
- At "Calculation:" enter a number for your Price Escalation then press <Enter>.
You can set up to One Hundred different Price Escalations for Each Shadow File "0-99". |
- At "Description:" enter a brief description of what your Price Escalation is going to do.
Set Retail Price |
- At "Destination:" enter the where the Price Escalation will apply. "S" is for a Sales or Retail Price, "P" is for a Purchase Price.
- At "Price Code:" enter the Price Code you want the Escalation to apply to and the press <Enter>, leave this Blank to modify the standard sales price.
- At "Decimal Places:" enter how many decimal places you require from the calculation then press <Enter>.
- At "Formula:" enter the calculation for your Price Escalation the press <Esc> and then a popup screen will appear choose the <Accept> option.
If you press <F11> while you are at "Formula:" you will see a list of the variables you can use for the price escalation and an example Calculation. |
