Summary

This article will explain how to uninstall the Platinum Data Manager service, this service is known as CDMS. This should only be done if you are no longer using the Platinum program and ideally done by an IT technician or Catalyst.

First you will need to stop the service to do this go to the services on the computer this can be different depending on the operating system. the computer is using CDMS is installed on. CDMS will appear in the services with the name "CDM Server" or "CDMS". right mouse click on the service and choose the stop option.

Now open a command prompt and navigate to the sxutils folder this will be found in the network drive that Platinum was installed on and 'Sx\sxutils'.

Now type into the command prompt "CDMS -U" or "SC DELETE CDMS" and press [Enter]. This will delete the service you should now delete the CDM.ini file, and then reboot the PC to finish the uninstall.
