Summary

The following article explains how to export your customer data to UK Changes and how to import the returned cleansed data back into Platinum.

More Information

These reports and import templates are chargeable and if you wish to have these configured on your system then please Contact your Platinum dealer or our sales team on 0116 230 1500 or by using our website sales contact page for details.

Exporting the Data

  • To export the customer data from Platinum go to " UK Changes Data Cleanse UK Changes Data Export".
  • The report will prompt you for a "Active Customers After" date, if you enter a date here it will only output customers that have a turnover figure after that date or their account was created after that date. Leaving this date as '00/00/0000' will output the full customer database.
  • The report will create 'ExpCus.csv' in '<Platinum Installation Drive>:\sx\SXIcons\Output\'.

This file can now be uploaded to your UK Changes account for cleansing.

{{Tip|text=If you have not yet registered for a UK Changes account you can do so

Importing the Cleansed Data

Once you receive the data back from UK Changes you will need to extract the returned file to '<Platinum Installation Drive>:\sx\'.

If you have only had the standard data cleanse you will rename this file to 'standard_results.csv', if you have opted for the additional data cleanse you will need to rename this file to 'additional_results.csv'. If you do not rename the files appropriately the import will fail.

  • In Platinum go to " UK Changes Data Cleanse".
  • If you have had the standard data cleanse choose 'UK Changes Import Standard' if you have had the additional data cleanse choose 'UK Changes Import Additional'.
If you choose the incorrect import or you have renamed the file incorrectly the import will fail or import incorrect data, Catalyst can not be held responsible for any errors which arise from using the incorrect import template.
