When creating a jobcard through the workshop diary system, if you type the word {{DataValue|SERVICE}} or {{DataValue|MOT}} as the first word of the first line of the {{DataPrompt|Description}} in the {{DataPrompt|Job Details}} area, the system will work out an estimated Service or MOT date from the date of invoice of the job and fill this in on the {{DataPrompt|Service}} tab on the vehicle record when you invoice the job. The estimated date for the MOT will be 12 months from the invoice date, while the service date will be at the interval appropriate to the vehicle, or to the customer's use of the vehicle if you have had the vehicle in the workshop more than once.
