Summary

To be able to create a Standard workshop job that can be loaded in as a template that contains job description, information and standard Parts and labour.

Additional Information

In order to create a standard workshop job (workshop template) you will need to create a new workshop job,

Creating a Workshop Job Template

  • To create a Workshop job, go to "Workshop Management" -> "Workshop Diary".
  • This will show the "Workshop Diary" and currently have today's date highlighted.
  • A this point you will need to create a new workshop job. See Creating Workshop Jobs.

It is Important that the account information is left blank, else each time the Standard job is loaded it will be assigned to the same keeper and invoice account.

  • Once you are happy with the information entered, it is time to add parts.
Only add the parts that are standard for the job in question. Do not add specific parts that cannot be sued for a different make or model

  • Once you are happy with the parts added, it is time to add labour to the workshop job. This is only a guidance and the actual amount of hours can be altered at a later date.

It is a good idea to add extra information to the workshop to remind the technicians not to forget a particular job, or to give them a check list of what is needed for the standard job.
