Summary

This article explains how to create a vehicle quotation for a Sales Prospect. This can be converted to a confirmed order at a later date.

More Information

Go to " Sales Prospecting Add or Edit Prospects".

  • Find the prospect or create a new record.
  • Click on the [Vehicle Interests] tab.
  • Complete the details for the type of vehicle in which they are interested following this article.
  • Press <F9> to create a vehicle quotation.
    • If the prospect already has a customer account code, this code will be displayed along with their name and address.
    • If the prospect does not yet have an account code, their Prospect number will be entered in the "Customer" field.
  • Complete the relevant details for the quote following the steps explained in this article - Selling a unit.

The quote will be saved against their prospect record.

Amending a Quote

Repeat the steps above. When pressing <F9> the system will load the existing quote for the vehicle.

Alternatively you may access quotes via " Unit Sales Add or Edit Sales Documents".

  • Click [Advanced] and select 'Quotation' from the "Doc Type" drop down menu.
  • Click [Search] to list all quotations.
  • Click [Edit] to amend the quote or [Convert] to convert it to a Sales order.
  • Follow the steps to process the quote/order as per this article.
