Summary

This article explains how to change the labour rates for each of the technicians that appear in the workshop

More Information

Finding the Technician

Get into to " Workshop Maintenance Options Technicians Labour Rates Add or Edit Labour Codes".

  • Type in the technicians "Labour Code:" or Search for the technician by pressing <Ctrl+F1> and typing in the technician's name. You can also use the <F1> or <Shift+F1> to advance forwards and backwards through a list of technicians.
  • Once you have found the technician press <PG-DN>.

Editing a Labour Rate

  • Move the cursor next to the rate you want to change and then move it across to the retail price and change it accordingly.
You will need to repeat this across all technicians if the rate has increased globally.

Creating a New Labour Rate

  • Move the cursor down to the next available rate that is blank.
  • Type in a description for the Rate i.e. Insurance Press <Enter>.
  • On the "Cost:" leave this blank unless you system is set-up to account for the labour costs directly from the technicians labour rate file because as standard the cost of labour is journalled into the accounts by the accounts department at month end. Please consult your accounts department.
  • On the "Retail" enter in the price you want to charge for for this rate; per unit of labour usually per hour. Press <Enter>.
  • At the "Cost Centre" leave this blank unless you want the revenue for this rate split out separately on the profit and loss from the standard workshop labour. Please consult your accounts department.
  • At the "VAT" leave this blank unless this rate is to be charged exempt of V.A.T. it defaults to 17.5%
  • If you wish to assign this rate to a category, other than it's default 'LAB' Press <Ctrl+F1> & <Enter> and choose one from the list.
  • When you have finished press <Esc> & <Accept>.
