Summary
This article explains how to create Workshop Job Types which can be assigned to your Workshop jobs.
More Information
Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Module Settings Workshop Job Types" or " Workshop Maintenance Options Add or Edit Job Types".
- Click [Add] or press <F6> to create a new type.
- In the "Workshop Job Type" field, enter a unique code for the Job Type, which can be up to three characters long. For example, 'SER' for Service would be good start.
- In the "Description" field, enter a suitable description. If you had a code of 'SER', then a description of 'Service' would be suitable.
- It is possible to colour code your job types using the fields below, these will appear next to the "Type" field in the Workshop Diary.
- Click the tick box next to "Text" and then select a colour for the lettering of the Job Type.
- Click the tick box next to "Background" and then select a colour for the background of the Job Type description.
- Click on the [Settings] tab and then click on the "Category" field.
- Press <Ctrl+F1> to bring up the Category Search window where you can search for an existing category or create a new one.
- Click [Done] and [Accept].
