More Information

Go to " Unit Sales Vehicle Sales Mailshots" and press <Enter> to view the current list of installed Mailshots.

Some examples listed are:

  • NEW Thank You Letter
  • USED Thank You Letter
  • Vehicle Service Reminder
  • Vehicle MOT Reminder

If you don't see any of the above Mailshots, please contact Catalyst Support for further assistance.

Editing a Mailshot

  • Select any of the listed Mailshots and press [Edit].
  • Click [Edit the Letter]
  • This should open up Notepad and display a series of codes and text. If you scroll down the page, towards the centre of the document, you will see the text of the letter.
  • Any of the text to the right of the '}' symbol can be edited; eg:
    • ^{M 9,129}Thank you for purchasing your new
  • can be changed to:
    • ^{M 9,129}Thank you for purchasing your used
Any string that begins with an '$' is pulling information from file to print on each individual letter, for example, the customer's name or vehicle make etc. To see a list of the items that can go after the '$', please see the Report Generator Variables list under Unit Sales in the knowledge base.
  • When you have finished editing the letter, click [File] then [Exit]. Click [Yes] to save the changes.
  • Press <Esc> and click [Accept] and then click [Finish Editing].

You are now ready to run your amended Mailshot by pressing [Start] and then following the on-screen prompts.
