Summary
When submitting your VAT100 Platinum stores a record of the file that has been submitted to HMRC and their response.
More Information
These files can be found in your '<Platinum Installation Drive>\SX\SXCO *Company Data Folder* \DOCS\RP\VAT'. You will need to access this via an option such as My Computer.
- There will be 3 files per submission.
- They will each be named with the date of submission, a unique code and a filename.
- Submissions made before Making Tax Digital will be named:
- 'SUBMISSION.XML' contains the information submitted to HMRC.
- 'RESPONSE.XML' contains their response having received your submission.
- Submissions made using Making Tax Digital will be named:
- 'SUBMISSION.JSON' contains the information submitted to HMRC.
- 'RESPONSE.JSON' contains their response having received your submission.
- '.LOG' contains a summarised version of their response in a text document.
Your actual VAT report can be viewed through the VAT100 menu option. Please see How do I Run the VAT 100 Report? for further information.
