Summary

This article explains how to switch your system over to "Interactive" Check Sheets from the older "Static" style.

More Information

Prior to December 2015, Platinum printed Unit Check Sheets in a fairly fixed format, with one format per Uint Type, which you then filled out by hand, and transferred any required action to the Workshop system manually.

Superseding this is a new system, accessible from Platinum Online or Desktop Platinum, which automatically creates Advisory records for you as necessary, and allows you to track the history of checks undergone by a unit. The standard system comes with a Check Sheet format per Unit Type, but this is extensible to have different check sheets for each Unit Manufacturer, Model, or Workshop Job Type, or combination thereof.

If your system was issued prior to December 2015, the Check Sheets printed from " Job Properties" and " Advisories" will be of the older fixed type, but if you want you can switch to using the new system quite easily.

Procedure

Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings" and search for 'static check'.

  • Set "Static/Interactive check sheets" to 'Interactive'.

This will switch the [Check Sheet] button in " Job Properties" over to access the new Check Sheet style; and remove the [Check Sheet] button in the " Advisories" window, as under the new regime Advisories are created by Check Sheets.

The new style Check Sheets are also accessible via " Workshop Check Sheet Review" and in " Add or Edit Units" on the [Check sheets] tab.
