Summary

There maybe occasions when you will need a list of all you nominal centres (e.g. if you need to find a gap for a new centre number) This article talks you through how to get such a list either displayed on screen or printed to a printer

Details

  • Go to "Accounts" -> "Nominal Ledger" -> "Maintenance Options" -> "Centre Maintenance" -> "List Centres"

This will bring up a screen that shows the following

                          -> All Centres
                             Fixed Assets
                             Asset/Liability
                             Financed By
                             Sales/Cost of Sales
                             Overheads

The list will be sent to the screen.

Do you want totals with the list : Y (Y/N) <ESC> - Exit, <END> - Functions.

This allows you to select only certain centres, whether you want totals and whether you want the results going to "Screen" or "Printer". The default will be all centres, with totals, sent to the screen. This can be changed to sending to the printer by pressing <F2>.

What do the Letters mean on the Nominal Centre List?

When a Listing is produces you will see in the 3rd and forth columns some Letters that denote where in the profit and loss and balance sheet the amounts in those centres appear.

Profit and Loss

  • A = Sales/Cost of Sales
  • B = Overhead
  • C = Sales
  • D = Sales/Cost of Sales

Balance Sheet

  • A = Fixed Asset
  • B = Asset/Liability
  • C = Financed By
  • D = Current Asset
  • E = Current Liability
