When a customer books into the workshop the recommended procedure is to search for the customer in the workshop job first, by using this method you will get list pop up off all the vehicles that customer has registered to their account. If at this point the customer lets you know that they no longer has one of these vehicles use the {{KeyPress|C+F10}} Mark as MSX option. This will have the same affect as the first option above.

More Information

There may be a need to stop the Retention centre sending messages out for a vehicle for numerous reasons,

  • The vehicle has been scrapped
  • The customer has sold the vehicle

There are two way of doing this either by editing the vehicle directly or when taking a booking in the workshop.

Editing the vehicle directly

First we need to find the vehicle so go to " Vehicle Sales Add or Edit Vehicles" enter the information you have to search for the vehicle eg. Registration number.

When you have found the correct vehicle use the <F5> Edit option now click on the [<Features>] tab, now choose the Marketing Category and choose the Message Exclusion Feature form the unallocated column and double click to allocate it or use <F5>.

Once this is one then you can <Esc> and accept the changes to the vehicle.

When creating a workshop job

When a customer books into the workshop the recommended procedure is to search for the customer in the workshop job first, by using this method you will get list pop up off all the vehicles that customer has registered to their account. If at this point the customer lets you know that they no longer has one of these vehicles use the <C+F10> Mark as MSX option. This will have the same affect as the first option above.
