Summary

The following article explains how to supersede a stock item. For superseding a stock item, you will have to have the new part created in Platinum. Please see Creating a stock item for guidance.

More Information

Select " Stock Control Add or Edit Stock Items".

  • This will take you to a search screen. Search for your stock item and then highlight it, Press <F5> to edit it.
  • When you supersede an item it will flag up that the item has been superseded within the Purchase ordering.

Supersession

Now that you're in the stock properties of the superseded item there will be a Supersession tab at the top. Within the "Next" supersession box is where you place the new stock code.

  • Previous:

This box gets automatically filled in when you supersede an item using the "Next" box.

  • Date:

You can set a date as to when the supersession has took place.

  • Description:

You can also place a comment or description for the supersession for a reference.
