Summary

This article explains how to suppress VAT printing on unit sales documents.

More Information

Units: Unit is a general term used to cover all types of vehicle and machinery, including items such as motorcycles, scooters, cars, trucks, vans, caravans, motorhomes, boats, tractors, ATVs, agricultural equipment, wholegoods and construction equipment.

This should only be used by dealers in static caravans where the printing of unit VAT information is required for certain customers. This should be used with care and caution to ensure that you conform to HMRC invoicing regulations.

To suppress the printing of VAT, you will need to include Token '118' in the document format and click "Don't print V.A.T." on the [Print and Summary] tab when producing a unit document.

As well as not printing the actual Nett and Vat figures, the associated prompts will also be removed from the document.
