Summary

This article explains how to take photographs of your stock for sale on your preferred mobile device and upload them directly to your Platinum system.

More Information

You should be able to use most mobile devices that have a data connection and a web browser. This includes most of the common smartphones and tablets.

Selecting a Stock Item

Log into your Platinum Online account as explained here.

  • From the Sidebar options, select " Stock Stock Media".
  • Find the part you require by entering the "Stock Number", "Barcode" or part of the stock description.
  • Select the stock item from the results list.
  • Press the [Add Media] button.

Taking the Photo

  • This will allow you to open the built-in camera app on your mobile device. This is where the instructions differ for the different types of mobile device.

Choose Existing

  • This will allow you to use the stored images on your device. This is where the instructions differ for the different types of device.
    • Refer to the manual for your device for further details on the operations of this.

Adding More Images

  • Adding the first image allows you to add further images, creating a list which can then be uploaded all in one go.
Depending on the spec of the camera on your mobile device, these images can be quite large. It is therefore important that you either have enough data on your plan to accommodate this or make sure you are connected to WiFi. It would also be beneficial to change your camera's resolution to a lower setting, around 2MP.
