Summary

This article explains how you can take images of your vehicles for sale on your preferred smartphone\tablet and upload them direct to your Platinum system.

More Information

By "Smartphone"\"Tablet" we mean Phones like the Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy, i.e. anything with a mobile data connection and a web browser. This means tablets like the Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy Note\Tab and Google Nexus will work too.

Selecting a Vehicle to Add

First Log into your Platinum Online account as explained here.

  • Then from the "Sidebar" options select " Vehicles" and then " Image Manager".
  • Find the vehicle you require by entering the "Vehicle Stock Number", "Reg Number" or part of the vehicle make\model.
"Leon" for a "Seat Leon"
  • Select the vehicle from the results list.
  • Click the [Add Photo] Button.
If the vehicle you are looking for is not found make sure you have the right vehicle location selected. To Check click back the "Sidebar" options and below " Vehicles" click the location and select the right one or choose 'All Locations'.

Taking the Photo

  • This will take you to your smartphones\tablets built in camera app. This is where the instructions differ for the different types of smartphone\tablet.

Adding More Images

  • Adding the first image allows you to add further images, compile a list and then upload all in one go.
Depending on the spec of the camera on your smartphone\tablet these images can be quite large. It is therefore important that you either have enough data on your plan to accommodate this or you are connected to WIFI. It would also be beneficial to change your camera's "resolution" to one of the lower settings, around 2MP.
