Summary

This article explains how to take photographs of your parts and vehicles for sale on your preferred mobile device and upload them directly to your Platinum system.

More Information

  • This will take you to the built-in camera app for your mobile device. This is where the instructions differ for the different types of device.
Depending on the spec of the camera on your mobile device, these images can be quite large. It is therefore important that you either have enough data on your plan to accommodate this or that you are connected to WIFI.

Apple Devices (iOS 6 and Above)

  • Choose 'Take Photo' or 'Choose Existing'.
  • Take a new photo or choose an existing one from your gallery.
  • After taking a new photo, you will get the option to 'Retake' or 'Use Photo'. Once you have a photo with which you are happy, select 'Use Photo'.

Google Android Devices 4.1 (Jellybean and Above)

  • Choose 'Camera' or 'Gallery'.
  • Take a new photo or choose an existing one from your gallery.
  • After taking a new photo, you will get the option to 'Retake' or 'Done'. Once you have a photo with which you are happy, select 'Done'.

Microsoft Windows Phone 8

At the time of writing Microsoft Windows Phone 8 (8.0.10512.142) does not allow web apps to have access to the camera.

Microsoft Surface

As this tablet runs Windows RT 8.1 and has a built-in camera, you can use Internet Explorer to add images to your items as you would on a Desktop PC (i.e. after taking the required pictures, browse to "My Pictures" and select images to add).

Blackberry OS 7.1

At the time of writing the Blackberry internet browser does not allow Platinum online to run correctly.
