Summary

Platinum Online is a suite of secure Internet browser applications which compliment mainstream Platinum Software. It is designed as a browser application - this software runs anywhere that internet access is wirelessly available.

More Information

The recommended browsers for different devices are listed below with their current minimum supported versions. We have tested and confirmed working on the versions listed. Earlier versions may also work but have not been tested and are not supported.

It is important that the following browser features are not blocked for the correct operation of Platinum Online:
  • JavaScript
  • Cookies
  • Camera access (for image capture and barcode scanning)

Microsoft Windows

  • Google Chrome (v73 or newer)
  • Mozilla Firefox (v65 or newer)
  • Microsoft Edge (v44 or newer)

Apple Mac OS

  • Safari (v12 / macOS 10.12 or newer)

Apple iOS/iPadOS (iPhone/iPad)

  • Safari (v12 / iOS 12 or newer)

Known Restrictions / Issues

  • The barcode button (allows barcodes to be scanned using the camera) worked when using Platinum Online in Safari but not when added as a shortcut to the Home Screen, due to an iOS/iPadOS restriction before 13.5. Update: This has now been fixed since iOS/iPadOS 13.5 and is no longer an issue.

Google Android™

  • Google Chrome (v73 / Android 4.4 or newer)
