Summary

This article explains what the "Stk Flag" in the "General Stock Depot" section of a Stock Code means and the effect of the various options related to it.

More Information

Go to " Stock Control Add or Edit Stock Items".

  • Search for the stock code you wish to amend.
  • On the [Details] tab of the item, you will see a "Stk Flag" next to the "Max Stock Level" field.
  • The choice of one of four options outlined below will control how restocking will be dealt with for the specific item.
    • 'Never' - Never stock the item. Do not allow the system to try to reorder it automatically.
    • 'Always' - Always stock the item. Ensure this item is always held in stock.
    • 'Fixed' - Leave Maximum and Reorder Levels fixed at their current values, i.e. do not allow the system to recalculate Maximum and Reorder Levels for this item.
    • 'None' - Indicates that the levels are completely free to be optimised automatically. This is the default setting for all items allowing the system to suggest when and how many to order based on each item's sales and purchase history.
Stock Optimisation settings can be changed " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings".
  • Once you have chosen the appropriate setting, press <Esc> and click [Accept] or [Done] to save the details.
