Summary

Users often find although the Sub Contractor's information has been entered on the ticket and the these jobs are appearing on the Sub Contractors reports they do not seem to be able to print a confirmation for these jobs.

The Cause

There are two causes of this issue:

  1. A Confirmation has already been printed and thus cannot be printed again.
  2. If the "Confirmation Note:" on the Sub Contractor Information box from the job data entry screen (<F7>) has been set to 'Yes'.
It is a common misconception that this "Yes/No" prompt is "Whether you want a confirmation or not". However it is actually "Do you want a Confirmation to be printed". Therefore if set to 'YES' at this point it will never print a confirmation. (This is here as some Sub Contractors actually send their own confirmation notes and thus you would not need another).

More Information

There is no solution if the confirmation notes for that day have already been printed as they can only be printed once (the logistics parameters can however be set to print two copies.)

The other problem is simple to fix, as long as the ticket has not yet been invoiced. Simply edit the ticket using the normal job data entry screen, press (<F7>) to get to the Sub Contractor Info screen and change the "YES" on "Confirmation Note:" prompt back to a "No" and the confirmation will now print.
