The reason for this message is the fact that there is a locked user in Platinum in the payroll system and as the payroll will only allow 1 user to log in this can cause and issue.

Summary

This article explains how to deal with the message 'A user is already registered using the Payroll'.

More Information

This message indicates that there is already a user in the Payroll and only one user can log in at a time. First of all, check that nobody is actually in the Payroll at the time. If this is the case, then you have a locked user in there and they will need to be cleared out.
