Summary

This article will offer advice with regards to what you can do if your postcode look-up software/feature is not working within Platinum.

More Information

Platinum has its own Postcode Look-up software, this is licensed per terminal on a twelve month basis.

If after entering a postcode and pressing <Enter>, the address does not appear, there could be a number of reasons why this will happen and these are categorised as follows:

Post Code Does Not Work

Check that the postcode being entered is correct. Platinum does not need the postcode to be in capital letters. Platinum does not need for the postcode to contain a space but it does need the postcode to be correct. Double check that the postcode you are entering is genuine.

Individual Machine does not find Address

If a result does not appear on your machine but it does on a colleague’s machine, check that your terminal is authorised for Postcode Look-up. To check if your terminal is authorised phone support on 0116 230 1500 with your terminal ID. If you don't know your terminal ID then see Here

All Machines (including the server) do not find Address

When no machine receives a postcode look-up result in Platinum your subscription may have finished. To check this go to " Help About Platinum" You will see here if your Postcode is licensed and for how many terminal. If your Postcode Look-up is licensed then call 0116 230 1500 and ask for Hotline Support. If your Postcode Look-up is not licensed and you want to get it licensed then see Here
