Summary

The following article explains how to set a hire item as retired.

More Information

Units: Unit is a general term used to cover all types of vehicle and machinery, including items such as motorcycles, scooters, cars, trucks, vans, caravans, motorhomes, boats, tractors, ATVs, agricultural equipment, wholegoods and construction equipment.

Retired hire items will not be available on new "Customer Bookings" and will not appear on "Hire item availability". Cases in which you might want to retire a hire item include:

Hire items that have reached their end of life.
Hire items that have been sold.

You can learn more about creating a retired status here.

Retiring a hire item

Go to " Booking and Hire Maintenance Options Add or Edit Hire Items".

  • Press [Search] to list the hire items.
  • Select the hire item you want to retire from the list and press [Edit].
  • Go to the [Details] tab.
  • At "Status:", press the <Down Arrow> and select the relevant status.
You can create your own statuses to distinguish why a hire item has been retired.
  • Press [Done] and [Accept] the changes to retire the hire item.
