Summary
This article will explain what you need to do to ensure that your vehicles upload to Catalyst FindIt. The article will also explain how to get the best possible results with your vehicles on Catalyst FindIt.
More Information
As we all know it is possible to create a new vehicle in the Platinum system in order both to control vehicle stock and to sell the vehicle off. However this is not the only thing that can be done to the vehicles that you have in stock. If you have the "Unit Sales" module and have Live Software Maintenance then you will be able to upload your vehicles to the Catalyst Catalyst-FindIt website.
How can I add my vehicles to upload to FindIt?
- Make sure that you are running the latest version of Platinum.
- Go to " Unit Sales Add or Edit Vehicle" and follow the instructions on how to create a vehicle on knowledge base article "Creating a New Vehicle".
- Make sure that the vehicles that you want to upload to Catalyst FindIt are:
- Set with a "Status" of 'In Stock', or other status with "Upload:" set to 'Yes'.
- Have a "Vehicle Type:" set.
- Have the "Catalyst FindIt" box 'enabled' on the "Web Publishing" tab.

What Benefits are there for My Vehicles Being on FindIt?
The article Catalyst FindIt explains the many benefits of having your vehicles on FindIt. However one obvious reason is that as your vehicles will automatically upload every day, we will be advertising your current stock on the World Wide Web.
- Also we upload your vehicles for free to visordown.com and Bennetts Classifieds. By spending the time and effort to have good information stored on your vehicle stock, you will automatically have three places that Catalyst will advertise your stock with no extra work!
- Catalyst Computer Systems Ltd also are able to provide a data feed of your vehicle stock. If you have a Third-Party who deals with your website, this data feed will help populate your website with the current stock from your Platinum System.
- A final reason why it is good practice to have your vehicles with all this information, is that you can print out a data fact sheet of your vehicle. This data fact sheet will include the Vehicle Statistics, Features, Sales Information and pictures of the vehicle and print this on an A4 document. There are some standard templates for the data fact sheet included with the system.
