Summary
This article explains how to allocate the next stock number automatically to your vehicles.
More Information
When creating vehicle stock, the system can automatically allocate the next available system number or you can choose on a vehicle by vehicle basis whether to assign automatically or create your own number.
Sales Vehicles
Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings" and search for 'allocate automatic stock'.
- Set "Allocate automatic stock numbers" for Unit Sales to 'Yes'.
- When you now create a new stock vehicle the system will use the next available number.
Workshop Vehicles
Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings" and search for 'allocate automatic stock'.
- Set "Allocate automatic stock numbers" for Workshop to 'Yes'.
- When you now create a new Workshop vehicle the system will use the next available number.
Vehicles created in the Workshop should generally start with a ninety million number i.e. 9???????. This helps you to distinguish between vehicles that are or have been stock vehicles at any time and vehicles that you have serviced or repaired but not sold. |
