Summary

This article explains how to create a Range Filter in the Report Generator.

More Information

To create a "Range Filter", enter the variables required, the appropriate operators and the necessary values. See What is a report generator variable? and What is a Report Generator operator? for more details.

Note: The "Range Filter" is NOT what will appear on the report itself. It controls the RANGE of items on the report.

The "Range Filters" define the limits of the information shown on the report. There are three levels of filtering. See Why are there three ranges? for details.

Fields

Enter the variables by which you want to range the report. For example, if you want to range a report by customers, then you will need the Account Ledger variable to be equal to the Sales Ledger and the Account Code shown twice, once for greater than or equal to and once for less than or equal to. See What is a report generator variable? and What is a Report Generator operator? for more details.
