Summary

This article will explain how to disable the feature to "Encourage Contact Data" requests on new accounts.

More Information

If you do not want to use the "Encourage Contact Data" requests feature in Platinum that encourages users to enter in a "Mobile Telephone Number" and a "Email Address", else enter in a reason why this is not being entered. Then you will need:

Go to " Reports & Settings Maintenance Options System Administrator Platinum Settings" and search for 'encourage contact'.

  • Against "Encourage collection of contact data" set to 'Y'.
We advise to leave this enabled, as it will help to make your staff to get the customer details completing your customer database. Which will give you a better option to retain customers and to provided them with useful updates (mailshots, unit information, parts status...)
