Summary

The following article explains how to create a rate table in Logistics Management.

More Information

Go to " Logistics Management Maintenance Options Rate Table Amendments".

  • In the "Table" field, enter in a code for the new table and then press <Shift+F10> to enable you to add a description to the code.

Automation

If you wish to automate this rate table follow the steps below:

  • Select the [Settings] tab.

If automated, the table may itself select the appropriate line or column used dependent on information entered. This selection to line or column may be linked to any of three aspects of a logistics job (area, text or quantity) or to carriage charges for quantity only in stock control.

  • Select the appropriate drop down box in "Line" and "Column".
  • Select the appropriate block and line for the text in the drop down boxes.
  • Specify how you want to search for matches between the text block on the job and the search words on the rate table.
    • "Alphabetically" will search through the rate table in alphabetical order until it finds the first match for your text.
    • "Sequentially" will search through the rate table for an exact match between the defined search words and the first word of the text block line. If you choose to use 'All' of the text block, this mode will look for a match on line 1 first, then line 2 and so on. This mode is useful when using numbers in your search text.
    • "For Postcode" will look at the end of the text block or text lines and look for the best match in the search words.
  • Press <Esc> and <Accept>.
