Summary
Once a task has been created in Personnel Planning it is possible to go back in and view/edit/copy/delete etc. The following article explains in detail how this is achieved.
More Information
Go to " Personnel Planning Tasks Outstanding".
- In the "Employee:" field, enter in the employees initials for the task you wish to create and press <Enter>, or search for them by pressing <Ctrl+F1> and entering their name and clicking <Search>.
- This now lists all the current tasks for the employee. Note: If no tasks exists, a new task properties screen will pop up by default.
- To view any of the tasks in the list, cursor down the the relevant one and press <Enter> or <F5>
- From here you may, if you wish, alter details about the task. e.g.; Add a Deadline, amend the Type, change the Priority etc. All of these fields will be discussed later in this article.
- Press <Esc> and click <Accept> to save any changes made.
Copying/Moving a Task
- To copy an existing task to another user, cursor to the relevant task and press <Shift+F7>
- In the "Copy To:" field, enter in the employees initials for whom you want to copy the task to and press <Enter>, or search for them by pressing <Ctrl+F1> and entering their name and clicking <Search>
- To copy the task to all employees, cursor to the relevant task and press <Shift+F7>, then press <F5>.
- To transfer a task to another employee, cursor to the relevant task and press <F7>.
- In the "Transfer To:" field, enter in the employees initials for whom you want to transfer the task to and press <Enter>, or search for them by pressing <Ctrl+F1> and entering their name and clicking <Search>.
Deleting a Task
- To delete a task, cursor to the relevant task and press <F10> and then click <Accept>.
Advanced Features
If you need to prioritise your task list, this can be in a number of ways, by setting deadlines, or setting a task priority.
Deadlines
- Cursor to the relevant task and press <Enter>
- In the "Deadline:" field, enter a date that the task needs to be completed by.
- Press <Esc> and click <Accept>.
- As the deadline date is past, the task will move up the list of outstanding tasks and remain their as a reminder to complete it.
Priorities
- Cursor to the relevant task and press <Enter>
- In the "Priority:", enter a number from 0-99; 0 being the lowest priority and 99 being the highest. If a task is particularly important, assigning it a higher priority will make it stay higher up the list than lower priority tasks.

Reading a Deleted Task
Even though a task may have been deleted, you can still re-view it. Go to " Personnel Planning Tasks Outstanding".
- In the "Employee:" field, enter in the employees initials for the tasks you wish to view and press <Enter>, or search for them by pressing <Ctrl+F1> and entering their name and clicking <Search>
- Click [Advanced].
- In the "Task Status Filter" section, click "Filter Mode:" and select "Include" and ensure that the code 'DEL' appears in the "Status Code:" field.
- Click <Search> to display all deleted tasks.
Creating New Task Types
- To create a new Task Type, get the cursor into the "Type:" field and enter in a new code (3 characters max).
- Press <Shift+F10>, and in the "Description:" field, type in a suitable description.
- You may, if you wish, give the task type a colour so that it stands out when you view your task list. To do this, place a tick in the "Text:" to give the text a new colour, or tick "Background:" to give the background a new colour, and click the down arrow and select the colour accordingly.
